Linda Rosenberg and Patrick J. Kennedy to serve as co-chairs of innovaTel’s SAB
innovaTel Telepsychiatry, a leading provider of psychiatric telehealth services for adolescents and adults, today announced the restructuring of the Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) to help inform the Company’s efforts to bring telepsychiatry services to communities struggling to meet the demand for behavioral health care.
We are honored to announce that Linda Rosenberg, immediate past President and CEO of the National Council for Behavioral Health has accepted the position as Co-Chair of the Strategic Advisory Board. Linda commented, “People are far more open about mental illnesses and addictive disorders, stigma has decreased, but the problem of getting care remains. The demand for services has far outpaced the supply of available clinicians. Telepsychiatry has proven to be an effective solution, it meets demand and does so economically. The technology revolution that’s transforming every industry, has come to healthcare.” Linda added, “I knew Jon Evans, innovaTel’s CEO, when he ran a successful behavioral health center. When I learned he was leading a telepsychiatry company, I knew I wanted to be involved. Jon’s commitment is to services of the highest quality, and I’m honored to lead innovaTel Telepsychiatry’s Strategic Advisory Board alongside Patrick J. Kennedy. Together, we will do all we can to ensure that those in need of care benefit from the power of quality telepsychiatry.”
In addition, innovaTel announced that former U.S. Representative (D-RI) Patrick J. Kennedy, will continue in his role as Co-Chairman of innovaTel’s Strategic Advisory Board.
“I joined innovaTel Telepsychiatry because of their commitment to transforming the delivery of care for those living with mental health and substance use disorders,” said Kennedy. “With suicide and overdose rates skyrocketing nationwide, we must prioritize innovative psychiatric solutions that reach more people in more ways. Where a person lives should not impact their ability to receive treatment. innovaTel’s work is making a difference.”
Jonathan Evans, co-founder, and CEO of innovaTel Telepsychiatry stated, “We are honored to continue our work with this distinguished group of leaders from the behavioral health community and welcome the opportunity to benefit from the Advisory Board’s thoughtful counsel as we expand our telepsychiatry practice.” Jonathan commented further, “As we continue to build on our partnership with national leaders on the advisory board, I look forward to working closely with Patrick and Linda to expanding innovaTel’s clinical reach.”
