Applicants who apply for Graduate Medical Education in USA and opt for ECFMG sponsorship (J1 Visa) to participate in a clinical training program are required to provide a Statement of Need from the central/federal office of the Ministry of Health in his/her country of most recent legal permanent residence.
The document has to be issued by the central office of the Ministry of Health of the country of most recent legal permanent residence. In Pakistan, the ministry of health has been devolved following 18th amendment to the constitution and Ministry of National Regulation and Services has been authorized the responsibility for issuance of Statement of Need.
All applications will be processed by the Ministry of National Regulations and Services, Islamabad and are required to fill in the prescribed Application Form and submit application with all the supporting documents along with the prescribed affidavit.
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR LETTER OF NEED FOR DOCTORS
All the documents should be attested by a gazetted government officer with a BPS of 18 or more.

After all documents have been prepared by the applicant you have to appear in person yourself or by any authorized person (If documents are submitted by any other person, authority letter from the concerned person to receive the same must be provided) at the following address and issue your Statement of Need (SON).
