NRMP released 2013 match summary last week showing primary care applications increased this year as compared to last year.
Among the specialities saw a decline in number of applications included, Pathology, Pediatrics-Primary and Diagnostic Radiology.
Specialities which saw a rise in applications included Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine (Categorical), Medicine-Pediatrics, Medicine-Primary, Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehab, Surgery (Categorical), Surgery-Preliminary (PGY-1 Only), Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery.
