On Saturday, September 15th at 9 a.m. ET, applicants will start applying to ACGME residency programs and selected residency programs will begin receiving future residents applications.

Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®) is a service that transmits the residency applications and supporting documentation from applicants and their Designated Dean’s Office to program directors of the ACGME residency programs.

According to last year’s National Resident Match, most of the medical residencies matching resident numbers remain unchanged. Although US is getting more US seniors every year the acceptance rate for IMGs is still pretty good in primary care specialties.

We may see less Indian nationals this year, due to a move by the Indian government earlier this year.
